HORSE-HUMAN RELATIONSHIP
COACHING
FOR HUMANS WITH HORSES OF THEIR OWN
“Horsemanship is the art of mastering our own movements, thoughts, emotions and behavior. Not the horses.” - Mark Rashid
Working with horses requires us to look inward in order to achieve the relationship with horses that many of us seek.
These multifaceted 1-hour sessions will meet you where you are at on your horsemanship or riding journey, and move the compass toward where you aim to be.

Frequently asked questions
-
We are located in the heart of the Bow Valley in Canmore, Alberta, Canada.
Tucked away at the base of Grotto Mountain, we are minutes from downtown, and easy to access from the Trans-Canada Highway. -
Horses are prey animals. They are highly attuned and acutely sensitive to all influences around them.
They experience these influences in very specific, direct, and authentic ways.
This makes them trustworthy reflections of what is really at work underneath the stories we might tell ourselves, or qualities and patterns within ourselves that may be hidden. -
Through Equine-Guided Coaching, we work with neuroscience, radical self-inquiry and equine behavioral sciences to create breakthrough learning experiences that literally rewire people’s brains towards wellness, fulfillment, confidence and courage.
People report that they feel greater awareness, increased trust in themselves and others, a deeper sense of purpose and meaning, and clearer direction after sessions. -
No previous horse experience is required, just an open mind & heart.
Except for Horse-Human Relationship Coaching, then yes, you need your own horse! All experience levels welcome. -
No. There is no riding involved in equine-guided coaching sessions. Our work with the horses happens on the ground, alongside them.
-
My work with the horses is grounded in the rigorous science of equine behavior.
I do not anthropomorphize them, project stories on them, or use them as tools.
I believe we can learn from all horses, but not all horses make great co-faciitators.
My horses are spirited, keen to engage with people, and equipped to be robust and opinionated partners in facilitation.
They are engaged with through extensive groundwork and horse keeping practices that inspire them to be free-thinking and respectful.
There is much to be learned simply from observing horses’ culture, language and leadership. -
Sessions are an exploration of BEing over DOing.
In fact, it might appear we are DOing very little as we explore:
-Mindfulness and presence
-Energetic and spacial awareness
-Boundaries
-Leadership and right use of power
-Trust
-Creating conditions for thriving
-Connection to your authentic self
And more… -
